Samara reports 2% growth

Published: 11/21/1997

Samara Airlines general director, Aleksandr Kozlov, reported a 2% growth in passenger traffic on regular flights in the first half of this year. Before that the traffic was in a steady decline. The rise was partly caused by opening a non- stop Samara-Vienna service in June. In March, Samara Airlines resumed work in Iran, using two Tu-154Ms with four crew teams. Based in Teheran, these work on internal routes. In order to be competitive on Samara-Moscow route, the operator is going to equip two of its Tu-154Bs with business-class seats. (AL1197.7) (VK)
