An-124 certified for 24,000 hours

Boost for Aviastar in its search for new business (110 words)

The An-124-100 Ruslan was awarded a complimentary certificate for 24,000 flight hours, 6000 flight cycles and a calendar lifetime of 25 years, on 22nd February in Ulyanovsk. The certificate was handed over by Tatyana Anodina, chairwoman of MAK (the Interstate Aviation Committee) to representatives of Antonov and the Ulyanovsk-based Aviastar in the presence of the newly elected governor of Ulyanovsk region, Vladimir Shamanov. In its press release, MAK states that an aircraft with an assigned life of this duration will undoubtedly assist Aviastar in winning new orders for the An-124-100.
