Maintenance deal for engine producer

Rybinsk creates joint venture for overhaul of its products

Rybinsk Motors appears to be strengthening its hold on the control of maintenance of its own products, with the announcement that it is creating a joint venture with Krasnodar-based Yeysk Aircraft Repair Plant, which is owned by the Ministry of Defence in Southern Russia. The plant primarily overhauls D-30s, primarily installed on Il-76s, and is considered to be one of the largest maintenance bases of its type.
