Polish engine upgrade

PZL-10W turboshaft gets 10% upgrade to 830KW

PZL-Rzeszow has been demonstrating its PZL-10W turboshaft engine, which has been upgraded by 10% to 830 KW, with TBO increased to 3000h. A similar upgrade may be executed on its propeller version - the TVD-10- by equipping it with a new Western propeller by Hartzell, to increase the speed of the power plant unit. The possibilities for upgrading TS-11 Iskra jet trainers are also being examined, by equipping them with K-15 turbojet engines, replacing the similar, but less powerful SO-30 engines. A decision is expected towards the end of next year.
