24% of Abakan to be sold

Deadline set for Abakan Airport bids

September 7th 1999 is the deadline set by the Russian Federal Property Fund for the receipt of bids for the 24% of OAO Abakan Airport, currently owned by the federal authorities. The tender will be held on September 10th 1999. Formed in 1994 as a joint stock company, the company currently has 309,425 shares outstanding, with a par value of 1 ruble. The 74,262 shares owned by the government are being offered for 20m rubles. There are no restrictions on the tender. The buyer of the shares will be required to invest in $500,000 in the airport 1999 and $800,000 in 2000, after payment for the holding in one instalment ten days after the tender.
