New joint venture for Krasair

Krasair starts Georgian joint venture with flights from Batumi

Krasair and the Georgian firm Georgex have created a joint venture called Krageair operating out of the Adzhar Republic in Georgia. The new airline will be managed by the Krasair's Andrey Zimin and will fly two Yak-40s leased from Krasair and flown by Georgian aircrew. Krasair will proved additional aircrew and ground personnel. The airline will fly from initially form Batumi in Georgia to Tbilisi, Yerevan and Sochi. The signing of the agreement coincided with the visit of Alexander Lebed the Governor of Krasnoyarsk to Batumi, suggesting that the deal may have a strong political dimension.
