Published: 12/12/1997

Russian weapons manufacturers, united under the banner of Rosvooruzhenie (Russian Armament) arms-trade agency, brought a big display of their products to the fourth aerospace and maritime show in Malaysia which opened on 2 December. In all, 30 Russian companies participated at LIMA'97 with over a hundred exhibits. The biggest one is the Project 636 submarine, NATO codename Kilo. Although neither the Su-27 nor Su-30 has reached Malaysia, visitors could see Malaysian MiG-29s participating in the flight display.(DF1297.1) (VK)
