Tu-214 in emergency landing

Dalavia aircraft under investigation to establish whether cause was landing gear or system failure (120 words)

The Tu-214 delivered to Dalavia at the beginning of the summer is reported to have made an emergency landing at Dalavia's home base, Khabarovsk Airport. According to press reports, the landing occurred after the aircraft en route to Moscow failed to retract its right landing gear, triggering an on board alarm. The crew therefore had no choice but to land, after using up the aircraft's fuel load. The landing is believed to have been made without incident and an investigation is underway, with suggestions that the fault might have been with the new aircraft's systems rather than an actual failure to retract.
