Published: 9/10/2001

The investigation into an incident, on 31st August, in which a Sibaviatrans An-32 collided with construction materials during an emergency landing at Bratsk Airport has blamed the crash on the performance of the ground control personnel. According to Alexander Afanasiev from the GSGA, the members of the aircraft's crew, who were making the landing after the failure of one of the aircraft's engines en route from Krasnoyarsk to Lensk, were not to blame for the incident. The An-32 was repaired at Bratsk Airport and is back in service.
