Russian defence satellite launched from Baikonur

A Cosmos satellite of the Russian Defence Ministry was successfully put into earth orbit by a Zenith rocket-booster on 28 July, being launched at 13:15, Moscow time, from the Baikonur space centre and the satellite was in orbit within 800 seconds, the Russian Strategic Missile Troops, that made the launch, said. The previous launch of a Zenith rocket-booster had been postponed three times because of malfunctions, but finally occurred on 10 July. At that time a Russian Resurs-O satellite and five foreign satellites were put in orbit.(SP898.2) (VZ)
