UK developer signs agreement for Polish airport

Szczecin gets the go ahead for summer start

The plan by British developer Chelverton Properties for the development of an airport, retail and industrial development in the northwestern Polish city of Szczecin first mooted last year has signed a preliminary agreement for the development of the regional airport according to Chelverton New Business Development Director Kristof Jacunski. The investment in the project could reach $170m according to Chelverton, will involve building over 170 hectares of land adjacent to the existing airport. The makeup of the site has yet to be revealed, but will include warehousing, logistic and production facilities according to Jacunski . The deal still requires to be approved by the city council in terms of planning, but Jacunski is confident that construction could start this summer. Chelverton has undertaken similar business park developments in Poland since starting its operations in 1995.
