Bulgarian plans for Il-103 unconfirmed

No comment from Russia on licensed production

The discussion between RSK MiG's Lukovitsky plant and the Bulgarian producer, Aviotechnika, over the licensed production of the Il-103 may have been leaked prematurely. According to Bulgarian sources, there is a plan for the light aircraft to be produced in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, to be sold in Central and Eastern Europe. Lukovitsky, however, refused to comment on the plan, indicating it would make some kind of statement in three weeks. Ilyushin, the aircraft's designer, denied all knowledge of such a plan.
