Donavia gets closer to Aeroflot

Fare increases from regional carrier as part of equalisation with Aeroflot

Rostov-based Donavia Airlines has announced fare increases. An air ticket to Moscow now costs 1740 rubles. In addition, the airline has increased fares have also been increased on 15 other domestic routes.
Aeroflot, Donavia`s main competitor on the Rostov-Moscow route, is expected to increase fares soon, leading to a levelling off of ticket prices. Both carriers are open about the fact that this is the first stage in a long-standing merger process,that will create a large regional carrier, controlled by Aeroflot.
