Russian land at Palestinian airport

First Moscow flight lands at Gaza International Airport

On 2nd January, the first Russian plane, carrying 125 passengers, including an official Russian delegation, landed at Gaza International Airport. This is the first commercial flight from Moscow to Palestinian Territories. The inaugural flight was welcomed by a number of officials, including Col Fayiz Zaydan, Head of the Civil Aviation Authority, signifying its importance as a step in the development of Palestinian-Russian relations.
