Aeroflot to fly daily to all European capitals
|
Published:
5/22/1998
ARIA, Aeroflot-Russian International Airlines will fly daily to virtually all European capitals this summer, starting from March 29.
According to ARIA, another feature of the summer schedule is that it is aimed at earning maximum profits. It is planned to improve performance as a result of more efficient use of the fleet. For instance, the six new Boeing 737s which will be delivered this year will fly to Europe by day, and on their return to the east and the south of Russia. According to Aeroflot specialists, this will help to increase aircraft flight hours and, consequently, profits. It is also planned to use these aircraft for flights to Azerbaijan, Armenia and Kazakhstan.
According to the company, the introduction of another A310in the near future will help increase the number of flights to countries in the South-Eastern region - to Delhi and Calcutta, for example, and A310s are to be used on flights to Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh, with stopovers in Bombay.
ARIA plans to increase the number of flights to New York and Chicago, and there will be more flights to America from St.Petersburg. The summer schedule nearly doubles the number of flights to Mediterranean resorts.(AL598.5) (VZ)
