Kazaks and Russians start talking about space again
Published:
12/7/1999
Russia and Kazakhstan may be ready to cooperate on launches from Baikonur again. According to Arybay Kalnurzaev, Head of the Kazakhstan administration, a preliminary agreement has been reached, but remains a long way from completion. No further details have been provided.
The potential truce follows in the wake of the latest Proton crash, prompting calls from Kazakhstan for substantial compensation.
