Romanians in space

Romanians looking to launch communications satellite

A proposal to launch the first Romanian telecommunications satellite has been approved. The two-year project is being developed by the Romanian National Radiocommunication Society (SRR) and the US-based Space Systems/Lorel, with the aim of improving communications in south-eastern Europe and Romania, in particular.
