Libya seen as market for Su-30s by Russian government
Published:
11/5/1999
With the raising of the embargo on Libya it appears to have become the favourite destination of Russian aerospace. Deputy Trade Minister, Vladimir Pakhomov, has recently said that it intends to resume its cooperation with the North African country, along with other countries in the market for a multi-role fighter aircraft. Suggesting that Libya could be in the market for Su-30s.
Pakhomov also mentioned that the consolidation of the marketing efforts of the three factories producing Sukhoi combat aircraft had improved export performance as it eliminated competition for contracts and confusion among potential buyers.
